Adult Volunteers Needed for Summer Camp

Hey Parents!

Ever wonder what it’s like to spend a week at a Scout camp?  Do you have fond memories from your own years at camp?  Well, have we got an opportunity for you!

Unlike traditional camps run solely by the camp staff, Scout Troops travel and stay as a unit while attending camp.  Adult leaders manage activities in the campsite, while the camp staff has responsibility for the program areas and the dining halls.  To effectively manage the Troop, we really need to have a minimum of 4 adult leaders in camp at any time.

Adult duties include maintaining an adult presence in the campsite, helping Scouts find their way to the program areas, providing adult leadership on Troop level activities such as hikes or nature programs and helping to cook up some serious snacks during the Troop Cracker Barrel in the evening.

While we welcome adults who can stay the whole week, we realize that work and vacation schedules might not permit you to attend a full week.  If you can even give us a couple of days of your time, your help and presence will be greatly appreciated by the boys and the other adults!
