Bike Trip Changes

Sorry to inform everyone, but we’ve been unable to get a second adult leader for the bike trip this weekend.  The good news is that we have at least one volunteer that can help lead a ride on Saturday as a day trip.

So we’re canceling the camping trip for the weekend and will plan on a day trip on the Nashua River Rail Trail from Ayer to Pepperell (and maybe a bit beyond!).

If you have signed up for the trip, plan on meeting at the church on Saturday morning at 8:00 am.  We’ll load the bikes on to Mr. Leonard’s trailer and ferry the riders to the start of the rail trail in Ayer.

Scouts should pack their own lunch and snacks as well as plenty of water for the trail.

The forecast for Saturday is partly cloudy with a high temperature in the mid-60’s. Pack a rain jacket (just in case) as well as a windbreaker and a fleece for the ride as it will be chilly in the morning.  Helmets are required for this trip.

Any adults who are free on Saturday and interested in a bike ride are welcome to attend as well.

Please check the Nashua River Rail Trail website for more information about the trail.

Contact Mr. Leonard or Mr. Jensen if you have any questions.
