Summer Camp Reminders

We’re off to Yawgoog for another great week of camp!

Arthur has made its way past New England and the week ahead looks pretty nice weather-wise.

A couple of last minute reminders for Scouts and Parents …

You should plan on meeting the Troop at the Sandy Beach parking lot between 3:30 and 4:30.  The “official” check-in time is 5:00, but we are often in the site earlier.

We are staying at campsite James West this year (same site as last year) at the end of the Curtis Tract

Scout medication is administered by the Troop. Please have any medication for your Scout packed in a 1-quart ZipLoc bag with the Scout’s name clearly written on the bag. Dosage instructions must be included with the medications. We require the prescription label for any prescription medications.

Adult medication is the responsibility of each adult.

Food in Camp

A reminder that any food you bring to camp must be stored in a hard, sealed container to keep the critters out.

Theme of the Week

The theme at Sandy Beach for Week 2 is Comic Book Week .  The Troop has discussed a “Batman” themed week and we have plans to build a Batmobile in camp.  If you have any “Bat” paraphernalia you think might add to the week’s fun, please bring it along.

Adult Volunteers

We are very light on adults in camp this year.  We normally look for 4 adults in camp at any time, but this year we only have 3 most days and only 2 scheduled for Wednesday.

If you would like to play “hooky” and spend a day or two at camp — even if it’s just for the day — please contact Mr. Jensen.

Don’t forget to pick up your Scout on Sunday July 13th!

Parents should plan on arriving between 10:00 and 10:30 to help pack out your Scout’s gear. We need to be completely out of the site by 11:00.

Lunch is served at 11:30, followed by the Dress Parade at 12:30.

Any other questions, please call, email or text.

We’ll see you all Sunday afternoon!!

Mr. Jensen
