Shoveling Assistance Requested Saturday

Scouts and Parents,

St. Mark’s has requested our assistance this Saturday at 10:00 am to help with some shoveling at the church.

St. Mark’s annual Chocolate Festival is this Saturday and with snow in the forecast, the church is anxious to make sure the walks are safe and clear for guests attending the festival. The church’s plow service will take care of most of the clearing, but the church is asking for volunteers to help widen the walkways and cut back some of the snow banks to make sure there is enough room for parking. Rev. Wade has said that she doesn’t expect it to take more than an hour.

This is a great opportunity to give back to the church, who has given us a home for the past 5 years. If you are free Saturday morning, please plan on showing up at the church by 10:00 am and bring your own snow shovels and tools. You’ll earn some service hours and have a chance to show the church members why Troop 591 is such a great little Troop!!

Oh, and Rev. Wade promised there would be some yummy hot chocolate for the volunteers!!

See you Saturday!
